Tennis player Andrea Petkovic has announced that she will be short on the WTA tour next year. "I am now 32 years old, I always say: I am young for life, but old for tennis," said Petkovic of the Frankfurter Rundschau: "I will severely curtail my tournament schedule next year and give my body more rest periods to recover . "

Petkovic wants to use the time to work on her TV career. At the beginning of December, she twice presented the ZDF sports reportage, an expansion she could well imagine. "If the first two shows go well in December, I'll sit down with the ZDF officials and put the stakes into my tournament schedule, and tennis is still my priority," said the former French Open semi-finalist.
