Angelique Kerber back to Coach Torben Beltz
Angelique Kerber has returned to her old successful coach Torben Beltz after almost three years. Kerber's management announced this on Monday.

Most recently, the former number one in the world had worked with trainer Dieter Kindlmann since November 2019, his predecessors were Wim Fissette (2018), Rainer Schüttler and Dirk Dier (both 2019).
"New trainer is an old acquaintance," says the press release on Monday: "Torben Beltz, with Angelique Kerber 2016, not least because of the two Grand Slam victories and the annual financial statements as No. 1 in the world rankings, the most successful so far Year of her career. "
With Beltz, whom she already knows from her youth, Kerber trained from 2004 to 2013 and then again from 2014 to the end of 2017. The 43-year-old was most recently two and a half years coach of the Croatian Donna Vekic, who led him from 54th place to the top 20 in the world. Beltz and Vekic split up in July, citing different views about re-entering the tour after the Corona break.
