In the future, the WTA tournament in Bad Homburg will be the dress rehearsal for the Wimbledon Grand Slam Classic. Already from the 13th to the 21st of June next year a newly created women's tournament on grass will take place in Berlin. For some years now, the men have been preparing for the season highlight in London at the tournaments in Stuttgart and Halle / Westphalia.

In Bad Homburg, three grass pitches are to be built in the coming months with British support, which are identical to those on the famous Church Road in London. In addition, even the original grass seeds from the UK are imported. Dedicated is the Hessian tournament, which is organized by Kerbers management, with $ 250,000.

"After working to expand the grass season and make sense of the period between Roland Garros and Wimbledon, we are now delighted to be making other important investments to ensure that there are high quality grass tennis tournaments on all levels of tennis," said Philip Brook, chairman of the All England Lawn Tennis Club.
