Novak Djokovic easily qualified for the semifinals

After three great successes over Alex de Minaur, Denis Shapovalov and David Goffin, Struff did not start badly against Djokovic either, but missed a few small opportunities in the Serbian’s first two service games. The industry leader knew how to punish this immediately with a break to 3: 1.

This service breakthrough should be the beginning of the end for Struff. After that, the German only won two games in the entire game. This was due on the one hand to a brilliant performance by the 17-time Grand Slam winner, on the other hand, the German left his serve in the first ATP Masters 1000 quarter-finals of his career.

In the second set in particular, the Warsteiner gave his opponent a few points with numerous double errors (6, 8 in total). As a result, Struff was quickly 0: 5 behind in the second round. When serving on the match win, the Serb slowed down briefly, but with another break he secured the 6: 3 and 6: 1 success after just over an hour of playing time.

With his 21st success in the 21st season match, the industry leader got the ticket for the semi-finals. In this, Djokovic meets Roberto Bautista Agut, who defeated defending champion Daniil Medvedev after a set deficit .
