After his appearance at the French Open, Roger Federer will only celebrate his lawn debut in Halle in 2019, unlike last year. In the first game when returning to his favorite run, the Swiss will face John Millman. Tennis fans will remember: The Australian defeated the Maestro in four sets at the 2018 US Open.

In the second round, the 37-year-old could face wildcard holder Jo-Wilfried Tsonga or Benoit Paire. After that, according to the seed list, Roberto Bautista Agut and Borna Coric would wait. The Croatian defending champion will play his first game against Jaume Munar.

Kohlscheiber vs. Zverev possible second round duel

With Jan-Lennard Struff, Philipp Kohlschreiber and Alexander Zverev, the three best German tennis players are all in the lower half of the table. Struff opens against Laslo Djere and could play against three seeded Karen Khachanov if successful.

Kohlschreiber will compete with Steve Johnson in the first round and could face compatriot Alexander Zverev in a win. The French Open quarter-finalist would have to skip the opening hurdle Robin Haase.
