Rafael Nadal beats Roger Federer and is in the final of the French Open

Rafael Nadal defeated his eternal arch rival Roger Federer on Friday afternoon. The Spaniard prevailed in the semifinals of the French Open in Paris in three sets with 6: 3, 6: 4, 6: 2. (Here you can read the whole lot ).

"It is incredible what Roger played in part today. It is a great honor for me to win against him," said Nadal after the game. "It was a difficult match under these conditions, I'm just really happy to be in the final."

With the win in windy conditions Nadal set in a direct duel with Federer on 24-15. In the final, the Mallorcan meets the winner of the duel between Dominic Thiem and Novak Djokovic (in LIVETICKER ).

In the sixth duel in Roland Garros, Nadal achieved the same success over the Confederation.

Nadal is fighting for his 12th title from Paris, for Djokovic it would be the second. Thiem hasn't won a major yet.
