Rafael Nadal was in a hurry when he made his first appearance in Indian Wells 2019: The Spanish matador only needed 72 minutes to prevail against Jared Donaldson 6: 1 and 6: 1. In round three, Nadal meets Diego Schwartzman, who was only slightly longer with Roberto Carballes Baena at 6: 3 and 6: 1.

In contrast, Stan Wawrinka and Marton Fuchsovics delivered a marathon of 3:24 hours - with the better end for the Swiss. Wawrinka won 6: 4, 6: 7 (5) and 7: 5 and can now play against fellow countryman and buddy Roger Federer, who had previously beaten Peter Gojowczyk in two sets on Sunday (local time).

The young Pole Hubert Hurkacz confirmed his good form, already on display in Dubai, and won in three sets against Lucas Pouille. Hurkacz is now up against Kei Nishikori, whom he had defeated in Dubai.

Fabio Fognini was in a hurry. In a negative way, however. The Italian lost the first set against Radu Albot in less than 20 minutes with 0: 6, saved in the second honor after all in a tie break. Albot is now playing against Kyle Edmund. Marin Cilic is also in round three.
