ATP Indian Wells: Dominic Thiem after solid presentation in round two

Dominic Thiem is in the third round of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Indian Wells after a 6-4, 7-5 win against Jordan Thompson. There the Austrian meets Gilles Simon.

Thiem had to fend off a breakball in his first service game, but secured the service of Thompson for the first time in the fifth game. At 5: 3, Thiem had to parry two chances of the Australian again. After 47 minutes, however, the 25-year-old Lichtenwörther served the first set to zero.
