ATP Masters Madrid: semifinals - Djokovic too strong for Hurkacz!
Novak Djokovic was the first player to reach the semi-finals of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Madrid. The Serb defeated Hubert Hurkacz 6: 3 and 6: 4.

After his rest day on Thursday, when Andy Murray, who was actually intended as an opponent, could not compete in the round of 16, Novak Djokovic did not spend much time on the court on the day of the quarter-finals in Madrid either. Djokovic also won the fourth encounter with Hubert Hurkacz, this time 6-3 and 6-4. In the semifinals, Djokovic is now waiting for the winner of the match between Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal.
Djokovic started with a break and couldn't let this advantage be taken away in the first set. With a score of 5: 3 in the second round, the industry leader already had two chances to end the match. Djokovic did so moments later after 81 minutes of play.
Novak Djokovic is in the semifinals of an ATP Masters 1000 tournament for the 72nd time.
