Tristan-Samuel Weissborn and Roman Arneodo have already justified their wild card with the opening win against Alexander Zverev and Marcelo Melo. But why stop when things are going so well? And so, after Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury, the Austrian left-hander and his Monegasque partner also struck in the quarter-finals. And won against Harri Heliovaara and Lloyd Glasspool, who were in sixth place, 6: 2 and 7: 6 (3).

For Sam Weissborn, reaching the semi-finals of a 1000 event is the greatest success of his career. And will bring the 31-year-old back among the top 100 players in the world. The Austrian is currently in 105th place in the doubles world rankings.

In the semifinals there is a duel with the German Davis Cup doubles. Because Tim Pütz and Kevin Krawietz did not stay long with the reigning Roland Garros champions Marcelo Arevalo and Jean-Julien Rojer, winning 6: 2 and 6: 4.
