Three months ago, Roberto Maytin (ATP 136 in doubles) from Venezuela had clinched his 14th ATP Challenger double title. Together with US American Robert Galloway (ATP 127 doubles), the 30-year-old double specialist won the trophy at the ATP Challenge 100 tournament in Tiburon, California. /

Maytin then had five shocking news to announce on November 21: He announced in an Instagram post on November 21 that he had been diagnosed with testicular cancer. Since then, the South American has focused on his health and is offensively dealing with the subject of the disease. The Venezuelan Davis Cup player family set up a GoFundMe site to cover their medical treatment expenses with this donation income. By the end of this week, nearly $ 35,000 had been donated to the platform under the title of "Super Tiebreak of Life for Roberto Maytin."

Soon return announced

Maytin said that he would undergo chemotherapy and vowed to return to professional tennis. "For now, in another fight with the support of my family and friends and with God, I will always be by my side and return to my routine very soon!"

Maytin is one of only four professional tennis players from Venezuela who were once in the top 100. He has won four of his titles in 2019 and has once again been in a double final on the ATP Tour in 2017 in Los Cabos.
