The Zverevs defeated the two Monegasques Romain Arneodo and Hugo Nys 4: 6, 6: 4 and 10: 7 and now face Robin Haase and Wesley Koolhof. The two Dutchmen surprisingly took the number one pair Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut out of the competition.

Novak and Marko Djokovic had no chance against Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah - the Colombian world class pair prevailed with 6: 1 and 6: 3. Henri Kontinen and John Peers won against Grigor Dimitrov and Stan Wawrinka 7: 6 (6), 6: 3.

Dominic Thiem and Jürgen Melzer join the doubles competition on Tuesday (third match after eleven o'clock on Court 9). Opponents will be Félix Auger-Aliassime and Denis Shapovalov.

Thiem has to wait until Wednesday for his first individual assignment. The opponent of Austria's number one has already been decided: it will be Martin Klizan who won two sets against Federico Delbonis.
