Berrettini meets compatriot Stefano Travaglia at the start of the 500 tournament, in round 2 there could already be a clash with ex-world number 1 Andy Murray : The Scot is playing his first round match against France's lucky bag Benoit Paire.

Murray, five-time individual winner in Queen's, is only playing his fourth tournament this year, the last time he was on the court in Rotterdam in March. Murray missed the Australian Open due to a COVID-19 infection, his fourth child was born in March, recently groin problems had put him out of action.

Regardless of his five victories, Murray has fond memories of Queen's: In 2019, after his hip surgery and the alleged end of his career, he celebrated his comeback in doubles and won the title at the side of single champ Feliciano Lopez.

Also at the start in Queen's: Denis Shapovalov, who meets a qualifier, Jannik Sinner, who measures himself against the British wildcard player Jack Draper, and Alex de Minaur, who starts against Laslo Djere. Defending champion Lopez meets Filip Krajinovic.
