The main draw of the ATP 250 tournament in Stuttgart will open on Monday at 11 a.m. with the game between Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi and Spanish veteran Feliciano Lopez. Then Oscar Otte and Daniel Altmaier meet in a purely German duel. Following this, Jan-Lennard Struff challenges the American Marcos Giron on his comeback after a two-month injury break due to a fracture of the big toe in his right foot.

No other German made it into the main field after qualifying. Mats Moraing was beaten 4-6, 3-6 by the talented Swiss Dominic Stricker in the second and final qualifying round, and Peter Gojowczyk also drew in straight sets against Australian Christopher O'Connell 3-6, 4: 6 the shortest. The Austrian Jurij Rodionov, on the other hand, is in the main competition after beating Roman Safiulin 7: 5, 3: 6 and 7: 6 (6). There he meets Marton Fucsovics in round one.

Also on Monday, crowd favorite Nick Kyrgios intervened in the events in Stuttgart. The Australian meets the Mexican-Austrian pairing Hans Hach Verdugo and Philipp Oswald in doubles alongside Kazakh Alexander Bublik. This game is scheduled as the second match on Court 1 after the doubles encounter between Dustin Brown (JAM)/Evan King (USA) and Hubert Hurkacz (POL)/Mate Pavic (CRO), which starts at 12.00.

TV NOTE: From Monday, June 6, 2022, ServusTV Germany will broadcast all center court matches live and exclusively on free TV and on ServusTV On
