ATP tournament in Stuttgart should be in the 500 category: "Have the opportunity"
Tournament director Edwin Weindorfer believes in the future of the ATP lawn tournament in Stuttgart and is even considering upgrading to the 500 category.

"This is a topic that we will definitely discuss in the next few years, because I very much believe that we have the opportunity to do so here," Weindorfer told the Stuttgarter Zeitung and the Stuttgarter Nachrichten . A reclassification would be possible from 2025.
However, some things still need to be upgraded for this. "We would have to increase the capacity of the Center Court, we would have to increase the prize money," explained Weindorfer. The tournament in Stuttgart is currently still in the low 250 category and has been held since 1979.
The current edition runs until Sunday.
