Novak Djokovic continues to lead the world rankings with 12,133 points from US Open champ Daniil Medvedev with 10,780 points. Behind: Stefanos Tsitsipas (8,350 points) and Alexander Zverev (7,760 points). Andrey Rublev , who is now fifth, is celebrating a career high in front of Rafael Nadal . /

Dominic Thiem loses two places - the 2,000 points from winning the US Open in 2020 are out of the ranking.

Roger Federer is ninth.

For the first time in the top ten, Casper Ruud is in tenth place, followed by Felix Auger-Aliassime knocking on the knock. In other words: the youngsters are coming.

Carlos Alcaraz , who mixed up the US Open with his five-set win over Stefanos Tsitsipas, is the new number 38, and if nothing goes wrong, in around 20 years you will be reminded of how young you were, when the multiple major champ Alcaraz climbed into the top 50 of the world rankings for the first time in 2021.

Botic van de Zandschulp also made a big leap into the Top 100 for the first time: 55 places went up to 62nd place he was defeated by Daniil Medvedev.

Oscar Otte "only" made up three places

In the German men's category, only Jan-Lennard Struff (55th) and Dominik Koepfer (63rd) are among the top 100 members behind Alexander Zverev.Peter Gojowczyk , who made it to the round of 16, made up 40 places and is number 101.

And Oscar Otte ? He came into the tournament as number 144, had also reached the round of 16 and "only" won three places (141st). How come? Otte had won a Challenger tournament in the same period last year and reached the final of another, these points have now been offset. In other words: Had Otte not played so successfully in New York, he would have dropped out of the top 200.

From an Austrian point of view, behind Dominic Thiem, Dennis Novak (121st) is still number 2, ahead of Jurij Rodionov (135th) and Sebastian Ofner (163th).
