It was one of the big highlights of this year's Australian Open. Stefanos Tsitsipas gave the 20-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal a self-sacrificing fight on Wednesday and defeated the Mallorcan in five sets. The Greek thus booked a ticket in the semifinals of the major Down Under, in which Daniil Medvedev is now up against the man of the hour on the ATP tour.

Apart from minor problems in the third round against Filip Krajinovic, the Russian has not shown any weakness in the tournament so far, and has already won 19 consecutive wins across all seasons. According to Head-to-Head, the fourth in the world is the big favorite, five of the previous six duels with Stefanos Tsitsipas, the number six in the tennis world, went to the Russian.
