Australian Open: Alexander Zverev confidently in the second match
Alexander Zverev entered the third round of the Australian Open 2020 with a strong performance. The German number one defeated Egor Gerasimov from Belarus 7: 6 (5), 6: 4 and 7: 5.

Towards the end, Zverev, who was in seventh place, made it even more exciting: at a score of 5: 3 in the third set, the native of Hamburg already served to win the match, allowing his opponent to break again. A few minutes later, however, Zverev got two match balls, of which he used his first after a playing time of 2:19 hours.
Zverev could also meet Gerasimov in the first round of the Davis Cup in Düsseldorf in early March. However, it is not yet certain whether the German number one will actually start there.
