Felix Auger-Aliassime is in the round of 16 of the Australian Open

Felix Auger-Aliassime is getting better and better at Grand Slam level: quarter-finals in Wimbledon, semi-finals at the US Open 2021, the youngster from Canada is already knocking on the door at the biggest tournaments. And is also getting in better shape at the Australian Open.

The ninth in the world rankings showed this impressively in his third-round duel with Dan Evans. While the first sentence was still reasonably balanced, rounds two and three developed into a show of force. With 6: 4, 6: 1 and 6: 1, the Canadian made his place in the round of 16 perfect.

There it goes against the winner of the clash between Andrey Rublev and Marin Cilic. Daniil Medvedev and Stefanos Tsitsipas had already won their third round matches during the night (CET). Maxime Cressy and Taylor Fritz are also in the round of 16.
