Australian Open: Krejcikova and Siniakova before the next major victory
Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova confidently reached the final of the doubles competition at the Australian Open 2022. There the two favorites meet a surprise couple.

Barbora Krejcikova coped well with her exit in the quarterfinals of the singles at the Australian Open 2022 against Madison Keys. Because together with her Czech compatriot Katerina Siniakova, Krejcikova is currently the best doubles in the world. In any case, in the semifinals of the first major of the season, Krejcikova/Siniakova didn't miss a beat, convincingly defeating Elise Mertens and Veronika Kudermetova 6:2 and 6:3.
In the final, the favorites now face a surprise couple: Beatriz Hadda Maia and Anna Danilina. The Brazilian and her Kazakh partner beat number two seed pair Shuko Aoyama and Ena Shibahara 6-4, 5-7, 6-4.
Siniakova and Krejcikova have already won the French Open twice, and once at Wimbledon. In addition, the two won gold in the Olympic doubles competition in Tokyo in 2021.
