Australian Open: Krejcikova and Siniakova win fourth major
Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova won the women's doubles at the 2022 Australian Open. The tournament favorites beat Anna Danilina and Beatriz Hadda Maia 6:7 (3), 6:4 and 6:4.

Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova remain the gold standard in women's doubles. The two Czechs won their fourth Grand Slam triumph together with the 6: 7 (3), 6: 4 and 6: 4 against Betariz Haddad Maia and Anna Danilina. In 2021, the two also won the Olympic gold medal in Tokyo. A year ago, Krejcikova/Siniakova failed in the final in Melbourne because of Aryna Sabalenka and Elise Martens.
Kejcikova and Siniakova had their first major triumphs in 2018 in Roland Garros and Wimbledon, last year the two went one better at the French Open - in addition to Krejcikova's individual victory. The only thing missing for a career Grand Slam is the title at the US Open.
