Australian Open: Krejcikova and Siniakova win seventh Grand Slam title
Top Czech duo Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova manage to defend their title against Japanese duo Shuko Aoyama and Ena Shibahara at the 2023 Australian Open.

Czech title collectors Barbora Krejcikova/Katerina Siniakova have struck again at the Australian Open. The successful duo secured their seventh Grand Slam triumph together with a 6: 4, 6: 3 win against the Japanese Shuko Aoyama/Ena Shibahara. Before Krejikova and Siniakova, only four other teams had done that since the introduction of professional tennis in 1968.
Last year, the Czechs triumphed in Melbourne, Wimbledon and New York. They were unable to start in Paris because Krejcikova tested positive for the corona virus.
