Naomi Osaka made a big comeback in Melbourne

Naomi Osaka has once again proven her great coemback qualities: The three-time Grand Slam winner, who won in Australia in 2019, defeated last year's finalist Garbine Muguruza with 4: 6, 6: 4 and 7: 5. Osaka made up a 3: 5 deficit in the third set. The Japanese was successful at the US Open in autumn 2020, then skipped the last major of the year in Roland Garros.

Naomi Osaka meets Su-Wei Hsieh in the quarter-finals. The veteran, actually more focused on doubles, didn’t spend long with Marketa Vondrousova, winning 6: 4 and 6: 2.
