Maybe Philipp Oswald is considering going into a voluntary, two-week hard quarantine before his next appearances. The Austrian doubles specialist is in better shape every day at the Australian Open - and is already in the quarter-finals with partner Marcus Daniell. On Sunday, the Vorarlberg and New Zealanders defeated the two Americans Nicholas Monroe and Frances Tiafoe with 6: 3 and 7: 5.

In the next round, a seeded pair is always waiting for Daniell / Oswald: Either number five with Rajeev ram and Joe Salisbury or John Peers and Michael Venus.

The other two Austrian starters, Oliver Marach and Julian Knowle, were already eliminated in round one.
