Stefanos Tsitsipas caused an exclamation mark: In a highly anticipated match, he clearly won against the Italian Jannik Sinner 6: 3, 6: 4 and 6: 2 after only 2 hours and 6 minutes of play. /

Tsitsipas dominated the match against the 20-year-old from the start, it was clear that he didn't want to let Sinner get the push in the first place. Tsitsipas rushed, with success - and made early breaks in all three sets, which he transported. With his own serve, on the other hand, he was virtually untouchable: Sinner didn't have a single break chance, only once, in the third set, did Tsitsipas have to go over the debut.

Tsitsipas is in the semifinals of the Australian Open for the third time after 2019 and 2021, where he is waiting for the winner of the game between second-seeded Daniil Medvedev and Felix Auger-Aliassime.
