Stefanos Tsitsipas remains one of the very hot tips for the Australian Open victory in 2023. The man from Greece - so far with strong matches - had to do everything against Jannik Sinner, he won in the end 6: 4, 6: 4, 3 :4, 4:6 and 6:3. /

Tsitsipas dominated at the beginning, especially with strong serves and the forehand, and showed nerves of steel: he had four break chances in the first two rounds and used them all; Sinner's score was only 2/8 (ending up 4/26 in the entire match).

In the fifth round, Sinner then turned a 0:40 at 2:2 to win the game, but at 3:3 and another 0:40 it was no longer enough. And Tsitsipas served himself to victory in the end.

In the quarter-finals he now meets Jiri Lehecka, who surprisingly won against Felix Auger-Aliassime.
