Austrian Bundesliga starts on Saturday
On May 29, 12 women and 11 men teams start the race for the championship plate. With HENN a new title sponsor could be found, LAOLA1 broadcasts the top games of each round live.

The Bundesliga general class can start on Saturday just ten days after the first steps have been taken. The Kornspitz women from Upper Austria and the men from Mauthausen start as defending champions. This year there are also top professionals, such as Dennis Novak (Irdning), Jurij Rodionov (WAC), Barbara Haas (Kornspitz team) and Julia Grabher (Dornbirn).
The new title sponsor is HENN, a leading provider of innovative connection solutions in the field of air and cooling water for the automotive industry. Currently, more than 36 automobile manufacturers worldwide rely on the connection technology from HENN.
Another strong partner is LAOLA1 - the ÖTV and Austria's largest sports portal on the Internet have agreed on a comprehensive media cooperation. In this context, numerous games of the HENN Bundesliga women and men will be broadcast live on www.laola1.at and www.oetv.at.

The WAC organized the final tournament last year and promptly made it into the final, in which Mauthausen could not be cracked. "We will only be able to play the home game against Radstadt on Saturday with the strongest line-up if Mo Safwat is eliminated in the Paris qualification and Sam Weissborn does not make it into the final at the Challenger in Portugal," said team captain Dieter Frenzel. "In any case, we have a strong team that should be favorites in the duel with Radstadt. As a finalist of the last two years and with players such as the Davis cupper Jurij Rodionov, the reigning Austrian indoor champion Max Neuchrist, Lenny Hampel and the U18 champion Marko Andrejic the WAC is very well prepared for the Bundesliga opener. The season's goal is to reach Final 4 and - as in the past two years - to make it to the final. "
Opponent Radstadt sees the WAC in the role of favorites: "The expectations for the opening match are that we may take a point," says team leader Gerald Kamitz. "The goal of the season for us this year is to stay in the league."
The Kornspitz ladies compete in Dornbirn. The Vorarlberg women have the "bad luck" that Julia Grabher plays big in the Paris qualification and will probably not be available on Saturday. That is why the Upper Austrians are more of a favorite than ever. "We are looking forward to the season opener and are grateful that the Bundesliga is feasible," said Kornspitz team leader Janina Toljan. "Our first goal of the season is clearly the top play-off. The second is that we will of course play for the title there as always. We take the opponents on Saturday very seriously and look forward to exciting games!"
