Barbora Strycova is pregnant
Barbora Strycova announced on Saturday that she was expecting her first child.

She actually hated receiving bakery products on the court, mostly donuts, wrote Strycova on Twitter - alluding to a 6-0 win. "But if there is currently a roll in the oven, I couldn't be happier," she added, garnished with a photo and a small baby bump.
So Strycova is pregnant, as she announced in these cryptic words, and the tennis scene - from Simona Halep to Donna Vekic, Kim Clijsters, Elise Mertens and Alison Riske, immediately congratulated.
Strycova was last on the court at the Australian Open, where she lost in round 1, whether the 35-year-old will continue on the tour after giving birth is unclear. A career end does not seem to be ruled out, however: Already at the Wimbledon tournament in 2019, where Strycova made it to the semi-finals in singles and even won the title in doubles, she had indicated that she did not yet know whether she would continue playing beyond the turn of the year. Which she did after all.
Strycova is currently ranked 45th in singles and 4th in doubles.
