Tennis player Dajana Yastremska failed again before the CAS International Sports Court with her appeal against her temporary suspension after a positive doping test. As the CAS announced on Friday, Yastremska's appeal was also dismissed. The number 31 in the world rankings remains excluded from the game for the time being.

On April 27, the Ukrainian was initially rejected at the second attempt with her objection , a few days later the verdict was confirmed. For Yastremska, who always refused to consciously take the drug, this news is likely to be the next bad news.

In a doping test on November 24, 2020, traces of a prohibited anabolic substance were detected in the 20-year-old. The suspension took effect on January 7th, and at the beginning of February her original objection had already been rejected by the CAS.

Yastremska has won three WTA tournaments so far, 2018 in Hong Kong and 2019 in Hua Hin and Strasbourg. Her highest placement in the WTA ranking was position 21 on January 20, 2020. Her best Grand Slam result was the round of 16 in Wimbledon in 2019.
