Combined 's-Hertogenbosch: Rain was a spoilsport on day one
Only one main competition match on the ATP and WTA sides could be completed on Monday at the lawn classic in 's-Hertogenbosch. The next few days don't look too rosy either, due to the weather.

The joy was great among the Dutch tennis fans who made the pilgrimage to the Autotron venue in Rosmalen for the first day of the main competition on Monday - only tennis was hardly played on the rainy opening day in 's-Hertogenbosch. In the men's only Hugo Gaston was able to win his opening match against Soonwoo Kwon 6:2, 6:1, in the women's the Russian Anna Kalinskaya won against the local hero Suzan Lamens in two sets.
Neither the top seeded Aryna Sabalenka in the women's competition nor the only German representative in the men's competition Dominik Koepfer were allowed to enter the grassy courts despite being scheduled. The schedule on Tuesday is already packed, and in addition to the first round games on the WTA and ATP sides, there are also a few qualifying duels on the program. And the doubles games should also be accommodated somewhere.
Better weather in England
Incidentally, another WTA Tour 250 tournament will be held on grass this week in Nottingham, England. The weather forecast in the UK is significantly better than that of the competing event in the Netherlands. There were no earth-shattering games on the program on the opening day. On Tuesday, however, the top seeded players Maria Sakkari and Emma Raducanu are already taking to the racket on Center Court.
Here is the men's singles tableau from 's-Hertogenbosch.
