Why leave all the glamor to a man with a long beard and a Santa Claus costume when the beginning days in December can make legendary in other ways too? Daria Gavrilova and Luke Saville probably thought so too - they got married on December 4th.
Gavrilova and Saville (both 27) have known each other since they were young and have allegedly been together since they were 15 years old. Strong! The two had been engaged since 2018. By the way, the wedding took place in Melbourne, in Albert Park.

Daria Gavrilova is fighting for her comeback
While Saville is currently number 23 in the world in doubles, Gavrilova's career has stalled: She was already in 20th place in 2017, but struggled with problems on her feet for a long time, she only played sporadically recently, but still reached the French Open 2020 and Australian Open 2021 the second round. Here she was defeated by Ash Barty - and could hardly walk afterwards. In February she underwent an operation to treat Haglund's syndrome, a pain in the heel. The problems on the Achilles heel will probably continue to accompany them. Garvilova recently made her comeback at the Billie Jean King Cup, where she hit Greet Minnen. It is currently only listed at number 418 in the WTA ranking.
