After ten minutes, Alexander Zverev had seen enough, finally teammate Oscar Otte made a lightning start against Swiss number one Marc-Andrea Huesler. Zverev made his way to the dressing room when the score was 3-0 for Otte, the native of Hamburg has to play against Stan Wawrinka in the second game of the day. Otte, on the other hand, was not only able to maintain his lead, after a second break he won the first set 6:2.

The second act brought the first sign of life from Huesler, who got Otte's serve to make it 1-0. The match was now much more balanced - which was also shown by the fact that after the 29-minute first set, the first three games of Dirchgang alone took two full 19 minutes. With the next break to make it 4:1, Huesler set the tone for set equalization. He also succeeded a few minutes later with 6:2.

Zverev still undefeated against Wawrinka

In the decision, Huesler first made the break to make it 3:2, Otte equalized immediately. And immediately lost his serve again. In contrast to the situation a few minutes before, however, he was unable to take advantage of two chances for the next comeback. Huesler showed nerves again, but finally served out with the second match point.

In the second match, Germany statistically has a clear advantage. Because Alexander Zverev has won all four previous encounters against Stan Wawrinka.
