Friedrich Nowak and Karl Straßberger broke the world record in marathon tennis on Sunday, August 14 at 2:09 p.m. and surpassed it by 101 minutes. Pending verification by Guinness World Records and official entry in the Guinness Book of Records after submission.

In the months leading up to and during the event, the campaign for inclusion in mass sport generated donations of around EUR 80,000, including monetary and service donations. The beneficiaries are Vinzent, who lives with tetra spasticity, the Sportpaket association and the youth of the Schwöbing tennis club. The fundraiser is now being extended and will continue for a few more weeks. A total of 159 sets and 1,475 games were played day and night and three longer breaks of around 50 minutes each were taken. 5 minutes break per hour were allowed; however, most of these were bundled together.

The well-attended event offered a marquee, live music groups, an "unplugged" short visit from the Edlseer, evening disco and fundraisers such as ergometer cycling for the good cause of the Glücksmomente association. On the last day there was also a morning pint, a quick draftsman and a cheerleader performance. Ultra mountain runner Andreas "Rambo" Ropin was often on site as a motivator.
