There is still a patchwork, as many clubs are closed. "It will dissolve by May 18 at the latest. I even believe that tennis can be played in every federal state again on May 11. Of course, with individual requirements," Hordorff told Munich's Merkur .

The current political restrictions are difficult to understand for the citizens. "Some of the reasons are just fine. If a prime minister says that sports cannot be differentiated, I wonder if the IQ is sufficient for such an office? And I get the answer: no," said Hordorff.

At first, leisure tennis was allowed in Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Rhineland-Palatinate; Berlin and Bremen had followed suit. Since May 4th, places have been released in Saarland, Saxony-Anhalt, Saxony, Thuringia and Schleswig-Holstein.
