Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils have announced via social media that they will become parents for the first time in October. The dream tennis couple said yes to each other almost a year ago.

Great news from Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils. As the couple announced on social media, they will become parents for the first time in October. "With hearts filled with love and happiness, we are excited to announce that we are expecting a baby girl in October," the tweet read.
In July 2021, the tennis dream couple tied the knot, and now there are offspring in the Monfils family. Although Elina officially bears the surname of her husband Gael, the Ukrainian continues to compete as Elina Svitolina on the WTA tour as usual.
Most recently, the Ukrainian had hardly played any matches on the WTA tour due to the war in her home country and was at the forefront to obtain appropriate sanctions against Russian tennis in response to the military attack on Ukraine.
