And not only that: With his serve, the 26-year-old from Moscow, who was only able to win the tournament in Los Cabos in the current season, got those easy points that Thiem didn't get.
After 90 minutes of play, Medvedev was only missing two points on serve Thiem to reach the quarter-finals, but seven minutes later it was time.
