Caroline Wozniacki has left her twenties

Almost unbelievable - and yet true: Caroline Wozniacki is celebrating her 30th birthday today. One may now ask: "first"? After all, the Dane seemed to have spent an eternity on the WTA tour. More charming spirits naturally ask: "already"? Because the always young Caroline can't really have already finished her third decade. This is exactly what several media outlets report independently of one another, and the WTA website also specifies July 11, 1990 as the birthday of Caroline Wozniacki.

And so we want to join in congratulations - and not only remember the farewell performance at the Australian Open 2020 (a third-round loss to Ons Jabeur), but also Caro's greatest career triumph there. In 2018, the little flaw of never winning a Grand Slam tournament was finally wiped out with the epic final victory over Simona Halep . Almost eight years after Wozniacki first climbed the top of the WTA world rankings.

The anniversary celebrated 30 tournaments, the last one took place in Beijing, also in 2018. Caroline Wozniacki will no longer have professional tennis, but at least once she wants to serve on the big stage. In Copenhagen against the woman with whom she has been friends for years and with whom Wozniacki had reached her final final on the WTA tour in Auckland in early 2020: Serena Williams .
