Novak Djokovic will win the Australian Open 2019 because ...
1) ... he lives Melbourne! The Djoker has won the Australian Open six times, leading Roy Emerson and Roger Federer.
2) ... he still has something to make up for: In 2016 Djokovic flew out in round two (against Denis Istomin), in 2017 in the round of 16 (against Hyeon Chung).
3) ... the Djoker with Wimbledon and the US Open holds the last two major titles - a second “Novak Slam” with Melbourne and Paris afterwards would fit him wonderfully in the stuff.
4) ... he is working with Gebhard Gritsch again: The Austrian is one of the best fitness coaches on the tour and has made the Djoker in top shape again after his "break"!
5) ... Djokovic still secretly dreams of the Grand Slam: In 2016 he was in the position after the victories in Melbourne and Paris for the first time since Jim Courier (1992!), But then he fell into a hole and lost in Wimbledon against Sam Querrey. In the meantime Djokovic is fully motivated again and has had a match record of 38 wins with only four losses since July!
Novak Djokovic is also the big favorite for the Australian Open 2019 for sports betting providers. Interwetten currently offers a winning rate for the Serbs of 2.1. Interwetten's top odds for the Australian Open are here!
That says the draw: Qualifier Mitchell Krueger will have no order against Djokovic, not even the winner of the duel between Martin Klizan and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. Denis Shapovalov is dubbed from last season, Daniil Medvedev could at least annoy Nole. Kei Nishikori lacks self-confidence. If there is a semi-final against Alexander Zverev, anything is possible. A final against Rafael Nadal goes to Novak Djokovic.
