The 34-year-old Spaniard gave the 14-year-old American Sebastian Korda, son of the former French Open winner Petr Korda, no chance at 6: 1, 6: 1, 6: 2. Nadal's next opponent is the German top player Alexander Zverev (Hamburg / No. 6) or the Italian youngster Jannik Sinner.

After just 1:55 hours of play, Nadal closed the match against Korda, so he stays in Roland Garros this year without losing a set. Nadal has already won the tournament twelve times, he can win his 20th Grand Slam title in Paris and thus catch up with Roger Federer (Switzerland).

In addition to Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Dominic Thiem are the top favorites for the title in Roland Garros.
