From a German perspective, three women and three men were in action on the first day of the French Open 2021 - and Tamara Korpatsch, Anna-Lena Friedsam, Mona Barthel, Maximilian Marterer, Tobias Kamke and Yannick Maden could not have done their jobs better.

Korpatsch defeated Tetsuya Nito 6: 4 and 6: 3, Friedsam won her second round ticket even more confidently with a 6: 0 and 6: 3 win over Daniela Seguel. Barthel, however, had to fight extremely hard against the French wildcard owner Tessa Andrianjafitrimo before she had fixed the 6: 4, 3: 6 and 7: 6 (4) victory.

Six DTB players on Tuesday on the pitch

The German men only lost one set on Monday, Marterer turned his game against Giovanni Mpethsi Perricard into a 2: 6, 6: 3 and 6: 4 success. Kamke had a relatively easy game with the Austrian Juirj Rodionov (6: 4 and 6: 0) and Maden with Federico Gaio (6: 4 and 6: 4).

On Tuesday, six more DTB professionals intervene in the action: Matthias Bachinger, Peter Gojowczyk, Daniel Masur. Cedrik-Marcel Stebe and Oscar Otte for men and Antonia Lottner for women will all play their opening games on the second day of the tournament.
