French Open: Thiem plays the second match after 11:00 a.m., Zverev rounds off the program
Dominic Thiem will - like Angelique Kerber - intervene early on on Sunday. Alexander Zverev , on the other hand, has to wait a little longer for his opening game.

The wait for the French Open is finally over - and from a German-speaking perspective, it will be really exciting for the first time on the first day of the tournament. Because Dominic Thiem , Alexander Zverev and Angelique Kerber all get involved in the action on Sunday.
Thiem will play his opening game against Pablo Andujar ( from about 12:30 p.m. in our live ticker ) on the Court Philippe-Chatrier and will probably not have to wait too long for his first appearance at the Bois de Boulogne: Before the first-round encounter of the Lower Austrian takes place from 11:00 a.m. only the game between Naomi Osaka and Patricia Maria Tig takes place. After Thiem and Andujar, Victoria Azarenka and Svetlana Kuznetsova will perform in the largest square of the facility before Stefanos Tsitsipas decides on the program against Jeremy Chardy.
The same applies to Alexander Zverev, who will play the fourth and last match of the day on the Suzanne Lenglen court against compatriot Oscar Otte (from around 5 p.m. in our live ticker). Before that, the matches Fabio Fognini vs. Gregoire Barrere, Petra Kvitova vs. Greet Minnen and Aryna Sabalenka vs. Ana Konjuh will take place on this square from 11:00.
The German number one among women, on the other hand, does not have to wait for the end of a match: Angelique Kerber will play her first match against Anhelina Kalinina from 11 a.m. on court 14. From a German point of view, Yannick Hanfmann will also play on Court 8 a little later.
