Günter Bresnik on corona crisis: "There is no politician who can find a solution to any problem"
Günter Bresnik described his view of how to deal with the corona virus in an interview. The tennis trainer was socially critical and questioned the money system and the flow of information that is passed on from politicians to the citizens.

"When I listen to five virologists, I hear five different answers," Bresnik said in an interview with the APA . "If after a week the news is more concerned with the economic impact than the health, it suggests that there is more cleaning in other areas."
The 58-year-old is known to be critical of the role of the economy. Even now he emphasizes the excesses of the financial world. "If I want to buy a car and go to the bank to withdraw 30,000 euros, they say, 'come back next week'. If I pay them a little too late a day or two, I have a reminder and pay 12 percent default interest, that's where the fun ends for me, "Bresnik was annoyed.
And further: "In the economy everyone just wants to be supported. The money is not there. I can't cheat myself forever. It's like a fool who says I don't need a reservoir and no electricity company because the electricity comes in me out of a can. People are so stupid with the money. If I don't work anymore, there is a minimum pension. So I hope that people will think at a time like this. About more important things as if they are going on vacation in Jesolo or not. "
Bresnik is making a comparison to show how salaries in top-level sports are exploding. "It is ridiculous if a Ronaldo earns a million a month and a scientist who thinks about an active ingredient against cancer or against the corona virus goes home with 2,200 euros. There is no relation. You have to question the entire system that works just not. It's not about rip-off, but how do I get the world in a way that it will remain as livable for generations as it is and was for us. These are my main concerns as a father of four. "
Günter Bresnik: "To incapacitate people is awesome for me"
Another circumstance in the current situation disturbs Bresnik massively. Politicians do not give people sufficient information, and Bresnik does not want to make excuses. "To incapacitate people is crazy for me. People sit in front of the news programs, idolatly worship the (moderators) without knowing what they are. Terrifying for me," said Bresnik.
"I still maintain that there is no politician who can find a solution to any problem - there is no such thing. Really big problems are solved by scientists with extremely high theoretical knowledge plus a visionary, morally and ethically high standard have emotional intelligence and are not controlled by anybody to their advantage. "
In fact, Bresnik lacks solidarity. He appealed to "not only think of my own benefit", but rather to use a good position to help other people, "and not to be taken apart like a Christmas goose."
Bresnik made a clear request to the authorities, politicians and doctors: "I want to be informed and I want to know what that is. Is it such a bad virus? I want to know what I am dealing with. Either you treat people like mature citizens or like idiots. I don't want anyone to decide what's good for me or not. "
