HEAD has always been at the forefront when it comes to the top players on tennis tours. And 2021? It was an extremely successful year from the perspective of the Austrian racket manufacturer.
HEAD player Novak Djokovic is once again number 1 in the world at the end of the year, with Alexander Zverev, Andrey Rublev, Matteo Berrettini and Jannik Sinner, five players from the top 10 trust their HEAD racket - strong! Three of the four Grand Slam tournaments (Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon ) were also won by a HEAD player, namely Djokovic!
Alexander Zverev also had a very special year with HEAD, with his biggest win so far, the one at the Olympic Games in Tokyo . And Zverev also crowned his season with a triumph at the ATP Finals in Turin. In the meantime, Zverev was unbeaten for 16 matches.
Oh yes: Half of all titles on the ATP tour were also won by HEAD players, namely 30 tournaments!
Ashleigh Barty is number 1 with HEAD
And with the women: Is Ashleigh Barty the third year in a row the world number one at the end of the year, after victories among others at the Miami Open, the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix and of course at Wimbledon completely deserved.
At the French Open, the newcomer of the year, Barbora Krejcikova , struck completely surprising. In fact, she is the first ever player to win not only with a HEAD racket, but also in clothing from HEAD Sportswear. "HEAD to toe" - from head to toe, so to speak!
