A hit could already occur in the third round of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Indian Wells: Novak Djokovic, placed in position one, will face a qualifier at the start. According to the draw, Nick Kyrgios, who played big in Acapulco last week, is waiting for the Serbs as the first player. However, the first task for the Australian is not going to be easy: Kyrgios meets the winner of the game between Philipp Kohlschreiber and Pierre-Hugues Herbert.

Dominic Thiem would be a potential quarter-final opponent of Djokovic, who has lost both previous matches against Kyrgios (including 2017 in Indian Wells). The Austrian is waiting for the winner of the match between Federico Delbonis and Jordan Thompson, afterwards it would be against Gilles Simon. Alexander Zverev was also drawn in the upper half. A brother duel could be up for him - Mischa starts against Martin Klizan.

Federer and Nadal on the lower branch

Roger Federer got it badly after his 100th tournament victory last Saturday: either Andreas Seppi or Peter Gojowczyk will be the first opponent, in the quarterfinals there could be a meeting with Kei Nishikori.

At the bottom of the tableau is Rafael Nadal, who starts against Jared Donaldson or a qualifier. Daniil Medvedev could become the first touchstone for the Spaniard in the round of 16.
