Bitter end of a great week: Sinja Kraus had to give up in the final of the ITF W60 event in Collonge-Bellerive and thus missed out on winning the title in Switzerland. This went to Lucrezia Stefanini, who initially clearly dominated the final and then benefited from Kraus' surrender when the score was 6:2 and 2:1.
The day before, the Austrian had only beaten the top seeded Sujeong Jang after three hours and 33 minutes and thus left a lot of strength.
Despite the defeat in the final, Kraus will return to the top 200 in the world rankings on Monday. However, the 20-year-old will not yet reach her career high of position 195.
