Who is playing in the Laver Cup 2022?

Rafael Nadal, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Novak Djokovic, Casper Ruud, Andy Murray and Roger Federer are nominated for Team Europe . Matteo Berrettini and Cameron Norrie are there as substitutes. /

Starting for Team World are Taylor Fritz, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Diego Schwartzman, Frances Tiafoe, Alex de Minaur and Jack Sock. Originally nominated John Isner broke his wrist at the US Open (he's replaced by Tiafoe). Tommy Paul is at the start as a substitute.

When does Roger Federer play?

Saying goodbye to Roger Federer is of course the big topic. Federer had already announced that he only wanted to play doubles - on Friday when only one point was at stake. He hopes to be able to get an acceptable performance, that of the Swiss Maestro.

It has now been announced that Federer will actually compete alongside Rafael Nadal . The match will take place on Friday evening, as the second game after 20:00 CEST.

What is the Laver Cup mode like?

Basically, four matches are scheduled for each day: three singles and one double. One point for a win on Friday and two points for a win on Saturday. Three points for a win on Sunday. Should it be a tie after the twelfth match on Sunday, an additional double would take place, bringing the decision.

Two winning sets are played, with a match tiebreak as the third round.

In addition, no player may play more than two individual matches, and each player must also play at least once on Friday or Saturday. Each doubles pairing may only play together once.

Where can you watch the Laver Cup live on TV and live stream?

The Laver Cup 2022 will be televised on Eurosport. You can join the live stream via the Eurosport Player.

What's the schedule?

It starts on Friday at 2 p.m. CEST with the day session and the first two singles. The night session begins at 8 p.m. CEST with a single, followed by doubles (with the planned Federer action). On Saturday it will be the same (probably without Federer).

On Sunday there is only one day session starting at 1 p.m. CEST.

Who has won the Laver Cup so far - and who is the favorite in 2022?

Since its first edition in 2017, Team Europe has always won - five times now. And this year, too, a victory for Team World would be a sensation: For the first time, the "Big Four" are together at the start for the European selection, a total of four top ten players. At Team World, Taylor Fritz is the top player as world No. 12.
