Nadal Parera won two of her three matches in the round robin tournament, which ended with second place in the ITF S200 tournament, which took place last week on the grounds of the Rafa Nadal Academy in Manacor. /

Rafa's 30-year-old sister won two matches (6: 0, 6: 0 against Agnieszka Kuban , 6: 1, 6: 0 against Sonja Bancroft ), against top seed Almudena Sanz-Llaneza Fernandez she was 0: 6, 1 : 6 but no chance. To classify: Cuba and Bancroft have no results in the "Active" category, Sanz-Llaneza Fernandez is currently in 855th place in the WTA ranking.

Also about the relationship: The ITF over 30s category has only existed this year , Nadal Parera has placed herself in 44th place in the ITF Singles 30+ ranking with this tournament alone (her only one so far). Will there be more appearances to follow or she just took part in her brother's event? Will tell.

However, it cannot be ruled out that other Nadals will make the tennis world unsafe: At the beginning of the year, Toni Nadal's two sons made their debut on the ITF tour: Joan Nadal Vives and Toni Nadal . So far, however, both have only competed sporadically.

Incidentally, Maria Isabel "Maribel" Nadal Parera celebrated "typically Nadal": Like her older brother, she bit into her trophy too.

Carlos Moya wins the men's doubles

Unfortunately, there are no videos of Nadal Parera's appearance, but another one made the rounds last year - when she played mini tennis with Rafa in the first corona lockdown on the home terrace and Rafa stole a point.

Oh yes, in the men's over 30s doubles, there was a befitting winner: Carlos Moya, French Open Champ from 1998 and current Nadal coach, won the title. The 45-year-old won alongside Flaquer Vilas against Juan Llabres Rossello / Joan Suasi with 2: 6, 6: 2, [10: 6]
