While the viewer question at the Miami Open has not yet been finally clarified, it is already clear that the Hard Rock Stadium will not function as a center court this time.

This stadium will not play in 2021

The entire tennis world is currently looking forward to the tournaments in Melbourne full of anticipation. But preparations are already in full swing for the events that will take place afterwards - including, of course, in Miami, where the first ATP Masters 1000 tournament and the second WTA 1000 event of the year will take place this year after the cancellation of Indian Wells will.

In light of the corona pandemic, Hard Rock Stadium, which normally hosts American football matches for the Miami Dolphins in front of up to 65,326 fans, will not be used this year. Two years ago, the stadium's temporary tennis court had space for 14,000 people.

As rumor has it that no more than 20 percent of the capacity will be used due to the pandemic, the Grandstand will serve as the Center Court this year. It will be decided in the coming weeks whether and how many people will ultimately be admitted.

In any case, it is certain that the organizers will continue to hold the Miami Open after the cancellation last year. The tournament is scheduled to take place from March 22nd to April 4th.
