The highly talented, but often uncontrolled double winner from Melbourne has given his consent for the lawn tournament in Halle (from June 11th). Kyrgios is preparing for the Grand Slam highlight in Wimbledon in Germany. At the beginning of June he will also open in Stuttgart.

After mental problems and injury worries, Kyrgios is on the way back to old class this year. At the Australian Open, he won the doubles title with his compatriot Thanasi Kokkinakis. He recently reached the quarterfinals in Indian Wells and narrowly lost to Grand Slam record champion Rafael Nadal (Spain).

In Halle he meets, among others, Olympic champion Alexander Zverev (Hamburg) and second in the world rankings Daniil Medvedev (Russia).

However, Kyrgios will rely on the complete European clay court season - he had already mocked the game on red clay several times in the past.
