Kicker, formerly number 78 in the world, is said to have manipulated two Challenger matches in 2015. The anti-fraud unit (TIU) ruling also said that kicker had not helped advance the investigation. He was eventually banned for six years, but three of them were suspended.

Because of his support for the educational program, the sentence has now been reduced by four months. In this connection, TUI published a video in which Kicker spoke about his misconduct. "I had my whole career ahead of me. This year (2018) I was on the verge of finishing the season in the top 50. But in 2015 I made a mistake that resulted in a ban. I have my career ruined."

A teaching video that Kicker recorded for the TUI also played a role in shortening the ban.

At the time, he was written to by a man who wanted to sponsor - similar to the case with Argentinian Marco Trungelliti , who, in contrast to Kicker, turned to the TUI, but afterwards felt alone and was avoided by colleagues as a mole .
